South Africa - Humanitarian Projects

Adventure Club Project

This project is a great way for volunteers to gain experience working with children and groups. Learning new outdoor activities such as swimming, boxing, spike ball surfing and skateboarding – volunteers receive lessons so they can help teach the children.

Skills Development Project

The Skills Development Project allows volunteers to transfer a skill they have to the children and/or adults of the local communities. The communities you will work in have low education levels, low levels of English comprehension, and the majority of the adults are unemployed.

Cape Town Volunteer Project

Volunteers assist with the facilitation of poverty prevention programmes and upliftment within the settlements. They have the opportunity to assist in or educate communities in agriculture projects such as subsistence farming. We engage communities in regular education, motivation and social upliftment programmes and exciting events..

Bush School and Wildlife Project

The Bush School & Wildlife centre was opened in 2006 with the mission of educating and inspiring local children to value their environment and stimulate community development. The volunteering program is designed to give volunteers the opportunity to teach local children, care for injured or abandoned wildlife, and fully immerse themselves in the South African bush.

Horse and Community Project

Experience a one-of-a-kind equine adventure in the pristine countryside of the South African Highlands where you will have the opportunity to work with sport horses as well as trail horses, get involved with the local community, interacting with and uplifting both children and their animals. Volunteer in the local community, working at and uplifting the local schools and learning centre.

School and Educare Project

Volunteers are placed in pre-schools in disadvantaged communities. You will be assigned to a class and will help the teacher in their daily tasks, be it teaching, marking or sports training. After school hours volunteers will be involved in after care or after school programs in the settlements.

Sport and Youth Development Project

This project facilitates children from severely disadvantaged areas. Mornings are spent developing gross motor skills through activities with children in the Educare centres. In the afternoons we host various sports programs with the children. These include; soccer, boxing, netball & spikeball. This is an important way for the children to be exposed to better role models.
